Newsletter Sept.22, 2020
Greetings from the farm,
Your newsletter will be short today, we are catching up on farm work around here this morning and afternoon. Once in a while, we play catch up here and I bet you have times like that yourself! This afternoon we will be delivering to the Huntsville area, so our afternoon is set in stone today.
What’s in my share this week? Onion, Okra, Tomatoes, Cukes, Peppers, Sweet potatoes, and apples. The apple of the week: Red Delicious, an excellent eating apple.
Any member that has deferred a make up share, and wants a fruit share make up, let us know asap in an email. Next week is the last week for delivery of fruit shares, (week 20)
It’s been an interesting week around here. A Homing pidgeon showed up here about four days ago and has decided to hang around. We finally were able to trace it to the owner in Spring Hill Tn. It was bred in Louisiana and born this year. The owner will be coming to pick it up, thankfully he wants it back. We know not the first thing about these birds but the Internet has helped us in knowing what to feed it until we could find the owner. Something is always going on at the farm.
In closing, we want to say thanks again for wearing your mask to pick up your share, we really do appreciate you looking out for us. We will do the same for you.
Lastly, please pop the trunk of your car before you get in line at pick up, and we will close it down after we put your share in the trunk.
Until next week, be safe and please stay well!
